Big Hops is a fresh and froggy action-platformer focused on deep movement and emergent gameplay! Use parkour and your tongue to explore 3 huge, colorful worlds full of charming animal friends and discover dozens of surprising, playful interactions with veggies and gadgets.
Story:
You play as Hop, a young frog who gets kidnapped from his forest home by a mysterious spirit called Diss. To get home, you’ll need to find airship parts across 3 huge, colorful worlds full of charming animal weirdos. Meanwhile Diss wants help with a mysterious and important job…
Features:
- Master Hop’s deep parkour moveset for a huge sense of freedom- run, jump, dive, climb, belly slide, wall run, swing through the air, and more.
- Use Hop’s tongue to reach out and touch the world. You can grab veggies, pull switches, swing through the air, hookshot up walls, lickpick, spray graffiti, and more.
- Discover a dozen veggie interactions that let you build paths through the world and explore expressively. Mushrooms make bounce pads, cacti create tightropes, apples let you hookshot up walls, acorns create climbable vines, and more.
- Store items in your Backpack to use when you need them. You’ll enter slow-mo looking through items or aiming throws mid-air so its easy to take your time and plan ahead. Remember to customize your Backpack with Trinkets to add gameplay modifiers.
- Hop’s story stretches across 3 huge, colorful, hand crafted worlds. In the Desert, you’ll infiltrate an organized crime family to uncover the cause of a dangerous sinkhole. In the Ocean, you’ll protect a floating town and oil rig workers from a pirate captain with a grudge. And in Shattered Mountain, you’ll join a punk band to illegally explore the remains of a dangerous mine collapse to look for treasure.
- Between these worlds, Diss will take you on mind-bending treks through the a parallel dimension called the Void. To get home, you’ll have to push forward through weird gravity and piece together Diss’s mysterious plan.
- You’ll find new outfits and hats for Hop along your adventure. You can match tops and bottoms from different outfits and even dye individual pieces with collectible flowers.
