In-Person Events

Our in-person events are single day festivals where we celebrate the magic of games, the culture that surrounds them and the people who play them. At our flagship annual San Francisco event we host thousands of people to play 60-70 unreleased games, including some non-traditional alt-control games, and put on musical performances by video game composers or performers, such as Darren Korb, Baiyon, and Doseone. Admission is always free, for developers and players alike, and open to all ages.

    Day of the Devs is heading to another new venue this year, The Midway, a converted warehouse in San Francisco's Dogpatch. We'll fill this huge new space with over 40 games, music from Doseone and Phil Fish, food trucks galore, and a new VIP Hour for people who purchase our Humble Bundle and help to raise money for Extra Life.

    Day of the Devs returns for round 2 in 2014 in a much bigger format, going from 10 games to 34 and in a shiny new venue - The Old San Francisco Mint. Alongside games, we'll feature musical performances from David Kanaga, Lifeformed, and Phil Fish, and this time the show is both free, and open to all ages!

    The festive folks of Double Fine Productions will be hosting Day of the Devs, in collaboration with the brooding but attractive hipsters of iam8bit, in San Francisco on November 2, 2013. This free event will feature fun, food, and a curated selection of amazement from fellow indie game developer pals, showing off the latest and greatest in the world of independent video games.
